I grew up mainly in the East End area of town. It was a great place to live. The children liked each other most of the time, and parents, usually a mother and father, cared about all of us.
When I was younger I lived in Lee Walker Heights where parents were good to us. They didn't get angry with each other when we fought or argued. As with many children, if given time, we'd make up and continue our friendships.
Those were the good old days, days that will be long remembered. I'd really like for those of us who lived in various areas of the city to get together and plan reunions. It would be interesting to meet again with people we haven't seen in years.
