Melissa Hill, Capital Bank Commercial Relationship Manager of the Year.

Staff reports

Capital Bank Corporation, headquartered in Raleigh, has honored Asheville employee Melissa Hill as its “Commercial Relationship Manager of the Year.”

The award recognizes Hill’s service to Capital Bank customers and her accomplishments as the Asheville face and voice of the bank. Hill also was recently promoted to the position of city executive and senior vice-president for Capital Bank in Asheville.

Hill began her banking career more than ten years ago in the Asheville market and has become a leader for Capital Bank in the western region. “In an industry with so many financial options, it is often people and relationships that are the strongest selling points,” said Hill. “My role and service to our customers represent Capital Bank’s commitment to maintaining relationships in the communities we serve.”

Hill manages many of the area’s most valuable customer relationships. “We are proud of Melissa for being recognized as the commercial relationship manager of the year,” said Sonja Turner, vice-president and western region retail group manager for Capital Bank. “Her dedication to our customers and to our team contributes to all of our success. Melissa is truly a role model for us all.”

Capital Bank (www.capitalbankus.com) has approximately $1.7 billion in total assets and offers a broad range of financial services. It operates four banking offices in Asheville.
