Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls is the latest example of how box office projections can get it wrong. For all of the hype surrounding the movie, Colored Girls ranked third in the box office for the weekend of November 5-7.

According to the Lionsgate head of distribution, David Spitz, demographics may be the cause of the anemic opening weekend numbers. “You always want the biggest opening you can get but the reality is, older skewing films don’t open as big because older audiences don’t flock to cinemas over opening weekend,” he said.

Moving along… For those of you not following “K-Ci and Jojo: Come Clean” on TV One, we are five episodes into this intimate docu-series and there are quite a few highlights.

In the latest episode, while the brothers are following the exercise program developed by actress/ lifestyle coach, AJ Johnson, they are not quite on board with the diet. Johnson challenged the Haileys to a cook off and surprisingly, the “boys can burn!” Johnson was impressed with the tasty but health conscious meals that K-Ci and Jojo prepared.

During dinner, K-Ci opened up about being tempted to go into the liquor store that was next door to the grocery store they bought food from. To view past episodes and exclusives of future episodes, go to www.tvoneonline.com.
