Giovonni McKnight (Left), with his brother Terrence McKnight.
Staff reports
Giovonni McKnight knew it was a no-brainer for him… (To graduate that is!) And he will graduate with Asheville High’s Class of 2009.
“It took lot to get to this point. What inspired me to continue the discipline in my studies and develop a competitive edge was running track and playing football,” said Giovonni. “And for that I’m grateful. The choices of colleges that I would like to attend are: UNC-A, Mars Hill, and Lenior-Rhymes.”
Giovonni plans to obtain a degree in Physical Education, and/or early childhood education. “I would love to help the youth that are growing up to develop the life-skills they need through competitive sports,” said Giovonni.
His brother, Terrence McKnight, will graduate with the class of 2010. Terrence aspires to be an attorney, with a concentration in criminal justice.
