Vanessa Williams and America Ferrera, stars of Ugly Betty.
|
For those of you who love the show Ugly Betty, it looks like this will be its last season due to the unforeseen low ratings. According to AOL Black Voices, the “dramedy” plummeted after ABC network moved the show from its original slot on Thursdays at 10 p.m. to Fridays. It has not been able to bounce back, so the network decided to pull the plug.
The show began in 2006, and became a huge success starring Latina, America Ferrera, and Vanessa Williams, who says the cast is deeply saddened by the cancellation.
It looks like a few celebs are running into some legal issues…

Questlove is the drummer for The Roots, which is now the in-house band for the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show.

Tweet-Repeat Catches Heat!
Questlove, of the group The Roots, caused quite a stir after tweeting a picture of NBC’s menu for Black History month. As reported, the menu consisted of fried chicken, collard greens and jalapeno cornbread. The chef, Leslie Calhoun, is black, but some fans found the menu offensive after it was tweeted and began circulating it on the Internet.
Questlove says he tweeted it only because he thought it was funny. “Whatever the case, I found this funny and when I find something funny I like to let the world in on the joke (‘twitpic’ anyone??). In NO way did I ever think that this was some cruel insensitive joke on behalf of Jeff Zucker and his comrades at NBC, (the cafeteria isn’t even owned or operated by NBC).”
